Fashion & Learning at the FashionistaGhMasterClass Lecture Series
When FashionistaGh organises an event, take my word for it that its a must attend. Even if its a lecture series like the one recently held at the African Regent for fashion & accessory business owners. A round of applause for Ob Abenser, founder of FashionistaGh for taking the initiative to empower and develop the skills of crafts and fashion business individuals in Ghana. It was very purposeful and met the objective and need of most of the attendees as they gained the financial insight of running a craft business through Ayesha Bedwei, Financial Director of PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Ghana. Many at times, craft businesses find it difficult managing inflows and outflows and there have been instances to which personal finance have intermingled with that of the business. These and other issues were addressed by Ayesha. Nana K. Duah, Brand expert and founder of Oxygen raised a lot of surprised eyebrows at his presentation of what entails an excellent branding. That really got most people (including myself) thinking about whether to rebrand or not. In all it was a worthy event and I am looking forward to the next session, hopefully soon.
I couldn't help but notice the style of the attendees to the event. Everybody had 'shaddered' and looked on point (maybe some a tad over-dressed) to fit the occasion. Well done to Kuorkor of Twists & Locs for being an excellent moderator and keeping us on our toes with her questions and interactions!
Enjoy the photos from the successful event and feel free to share! :)
Then came my focus on the fashion of the 'trainees' :) Very swaggish, wouldn't you say?
